The City issues a Marine Improvement permit, with separate guidelines for docks, lift-only jobs, canopies, captain's walks, and seawalls. Common requirements include a site plan, engineering, a burrowing owl and gopher tortoise affidavit, and a recorded Notice of Commencement for jobs of $2,500 or more.
