Gulf Breeze is a small city in Santa Rosa County set between downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach, with water on almost every side. Lots on the north and west face Pensacola Bay. Hurricane Sally made landfall near Gulf Shores, Alabama, in September 2020. The National Hurricane Center's report lists the Pensacola tide gauge peaking at 5.6 ft above mean higher high water and a Gulf Breeze weather station gusting to 66 knots.
