Redington Beach is a small residential town on the Pinellas barrier islands, incorporated in 1945, with the Gulf on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other. Hurricane Helene put about 5 feet of water into homes here, and months later some owners were still waiting on permits to rebuild.
